About UsThe Queen of SwordsThe Queen of Swords has been writing fanfiction since shortly before her website went online in February of 1998. She specializes in Slayers and Inuyasha fics laced with a mighty hefty dose of humor, except for My Brother's Keeper, which is dark and serious (Sesshoumaru is NOT funny). In real life, the Queen is wild-mannered Kathy Hassinger, a 30-something freelance technical/web content writer (sort of like model/actress, only you don't have to worry about keeping up your tan). When not doing that, she works miscellaneous day jobs to pay the mortgage and support her dirty little habits, which include (but are not limited to) anime, manga, Samurai movies, HK flicks and silent films. Someday she will write The Great American SciFi/Fantasy Novel that will outsell everything Stephen King has ever written. For an encore, she will take over the world...unless a couple of small, white laboratory mice do it first. GigiGigi is younger and cuter than the Queen of Swords and can draw circles around those people making lots of money at it. In reality she's Jessica Probst: Wife, mother of four and artiste. She recently emerged victorious from a deathmatch with that evil, life-devouring game EverQuest...because Real Women are just dead cool like that. Like the Queen of Swords, Gigi has a major weakness for anime, born when she was a military brat living in Japan, and has passed the Otaku Gene on to her offspring. She has also been known to draw steamy pics of bishounen for the pure, sweaty joy of it all. What Gigi would really like to be doing is making piles of money with her artwork. If she ever gets any spare time, she will help the Queen of Swords take over the world, barring interference from genetically-altered lab mice. JoeJoe Curzon is even younger and cuter than Gigi and the Queen. He designs websites, attends University and gives 80% of his annual income to the Government. Another 10% goes for his Internet connection. What's left gets spent on anime goodies. When he's not playing with the Magical Boys website, he maintains and writes for an ezine he created called Anime Digital, home of the Pirate Anime FAQ. For his work year, he hopes to land a high-paying job in the I.T. department of a multi-national corporation where he will take over the world one computer at a time. If they're very nice, he'll let the Queen and Gigi help because Rulers of the World need someone to put a positive spin on their megalomaniac behaviors and someone else to draw attractive renderings of their likeness for the propaganda posters. Unless the lab mice conquer the world first, which will make the entire exercise moot... ...leaving us with just this little online manga that pokes fun at all those Magical Girl clichés, has a cute male character who keeps losing his shirt, and a female character who has big hooters and wears a thong (fanservice, baby, yeah!)
